Tough Mudder Bringing Excitement to Beaver Creek this Summer

The slopes of Beaver Creek will take a different look this summer as the Eagle County community was chosen to host one of the dirtiest and hardest event, the Tough Mudder challenge. Tough Mudder will come to Beaver Creek the weekend of June 25 and 26 and will form a seven-mile course from Strawberry Park to Hay Meadows including tons 0f mud, greased monkey bars, cargo nets, and more. Tough Mudder challenge will feature 20 obstacles topped off with fire hoses and an electric current supplying 10,000 volts.

Who would do something like this you might ask. Well, there are over 3,000 participants already registered and the fee will go up as the June weekend approaches. The challenge is open to 5,000 participants and currently slots can be purchased for $100.

Not only will this event bring laughter to the slopes of Beaver Creek, but also could attract as many as 8,000 visitors to the area each day. Beaver Creek restaurants, hotels, and shopping centers will be sure to benefit by this not-to-miss summer event.
